Long Fellows

In this cornea of Central Asia
Did I say cornea?
I meant corner of Central Asia

It's down to you pic the pixel
for what's a poem worth once read and read no longer
It enters the past tense of bearded gentlemen
and lilac-scented ladies in pantyhoses

Ponds Skipped Across The Pond

The notion of God to us is always troubling and odd
'cause One and Trinity are uneven numbers.

Understanding is stymied
where understanding limits

Still. Love goes further,
Love goes farther

than pebbles skipped across a pond
of just bad times

Crumbling Cookie

I should have closed my eyes when the maidens spoken
I should have shut my mouth and not been cordened
My wayward ways have been fractions of cookies
The grossest miscalculations is lust-driven

I Am A GPS

I am a globally positioned spirit
a migrant who had wandered far and wide
before the  borders were fenced

I still drift a bit but in cerebal tides
where I mix with kindred spirits
in this place reserved for social misfits,

otherwise known as the criminally insane

Skin Crawlers

We are in this prison for different reasons
I am a convict tried and sentenced
Your are a prison guard waiting to be pensioned

Since the guard will not play in the convict's sand box,
the prisoner submits to the guard's game of checkers
Everything you say to me, I will repeat verbatim,
then let's see who's the first to crawl out of his skin

Fork The Carrot

If it lives, it eats
if it eats, it kills
God bless the vegetarian

The Ape Man Next Door

Flank Rears is at it again
He's edging his lawn with a flame thrower this time
You never know what guys who fly Confederate flags are capable of doing

Poets and Partners

Timely pauses are more desirable
than the pregnant monologues in which they're stifled
Spaces unwritten hold greater potential
than  weepy verses that would only flood them

These are possibilities,
poets, spouses and politicians
would do well to ponder

God Is Watching

Never, ever get so distressed
you free fall into the pit of depression
that is the rut of self mutilation which ultimately leads to suicide

Sorry is a sorry excuse for anything.
Don't feel sorry for yourself or anyone else, either.
Be compassionate, be forgiving.

We are but molecules in the stew in existence.
Big and tiny are relative and related.  It is the import-tense
that is now is forever which fuels our spirits.

Bad times pass.
The sun will rise
We are breath

Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Fun

Let no one have lived in vain
Everyone ought to write a book
for what it might inform and/or entertain
But first!  Everyone should contribute
to the propagation of species.

But first!  Everyone should plant a tree to renew
what others have destroyed.
But first!  Let us thank God,
who has made  birds, fish and apes
Is not Creation a kick in the Evolutionary scale!

Suffer me a while, dear Reader,
to share with you  a bit of my log of travels.
Me and World War II arrived on earth together
the day, the month, the year Hitler invaded Poland
I was born  where Poland borders Lithuania.

In the gloom of war,
the Mapovia Family hastily recalculated,
retooled and  relocated to Siberia,  a place not nearly as cold nor hot
as the  hell the Third Reich had prepared for Slavs and Hebrews.
I thank the little man with a mustache for my not attending boarding school in Warsaw.

In the wilds of Siberia, I grew up scrawny and tough.
In Warsaw, I would have become most likely a social dilettante
In the beginning I was a synagogue-attending  Jew (this, of course, in secret.)
Communism is an atheist religion.
As I matured I became an atheist..

From Central Asia, the Mapovias eventually moved to North Africa.
From the Kingdom of Morocco, we relocated once again -
this time to Revolutionary Cuba,  From a dilapidated Havana,
I soon found my way through Mexico to currently Cape Hatteras,
from where I should be glad to exit into Heaven.

Presently, I follow Jesus dogma, but make no mistake.
As  student, I am no less pragmatic than when I was a Communist,
and refused to worship Josef Stalin (only in the closet, I objected, of course),
Where spies outnumber friends and family, the  underground is fraught with risks.
Enjoy with me a glass of wine, if you will.  I do not hold as some Christians fanatics do,
that drinking and dancing is verboten 'cause the latter especially can lead to vertical sex.

All this is to say that as a reborn citizen of these United States,
I subscribe to the idea that, " Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"
is for the citizens to define for themselves.  I have defined it for myself, and do declare,
I will continue to desire neighbors what I desire whole heatedly  for myself..
Live, compose and enjoy!  Life is short.

And Consequently, Time

Energy is expressed as heat and motion
Heat, itself, is  motion
Motion organizes around gravity
Light being  Energy, Light having motion,
Light has its particular form of gravity.

Beyond gravity, there is a hole in space that can be likened to  a hole in a wall
The hole in the wall  swallows another hole, the hole in time
The hole in time can be likened to hole in the head .
Said holes have embryonic membranes over there openings
off of  which objects bounce.  Objects tend to move in circular paths.

"In the Beginning" was the stage where upon
"Let there be Light" heralded  the actors;
Energy, Space, Time.
Herein, the The Trinity speaks: Three Persons coexistent in One,
Equal, Distinct, Everlasting

Splish splash, I was taking a bath

Red, black, white scales and fins
Spring through winter. pool carp swim.

High in forest, in mountain setting sets a Shinto temple.
Above the temple, the Sun is setting.

Lightly stepping on pond stone steps steps towards me a man of stoic bearing.
Belted sword he can draw in flashes but only to curtail spaces into which foes might enter

I am drawn to this hairy face Samurai  as a hand
is drawn to fan in summer swelter.

Woman meets Warrior
but he refrains from going further.

An itinerant priest informs me, later;
Warrior is wed to vow of celibacy

The fellow concluded a long long time,
proximity to woman could bring him to ruin and diminish his powers

This is the story of a Geisha  dressed in pink on her 17th birthday,
staring in a forlorn manner at the pool big carp swimming in circles.
