A bird perches tall on a borrowed limp
Fading light reflects from its scarlet breast
It opens wide its blue wings and flies off into permeation
The rush of flight flicks snow flakes to the ground
which shimmering fall through the night
till the blanket of white is heavy on Sunday
and heavier the day which follows
