To Burn or Bury

Much is made of corpus homo
dead or alive
therefore, death is far and away the kinder
than were we to live a thousand years.

As Jesus said, "Let the dead bury the dead."
In the case of cremation, it may suffice to change the verb.

Let the dead burn the dead.
