So much it rained the day I was delivered,
my parents named me "Luri"
in the Hooni tongue, word for "flooding"
My mother's placenta looked like a dam
Rain which pounds and splatters,
rain goddess of my forest people
In the beginning, there was lava
but in the subsequent luri, everything changed
forever
