There Is A Butterfly

So elegant, so beautiful, so harmless

There is a butterfly whose territorial range
are the bound of my property to the tree line,
but not as far as the highway
In front, to Miss Carol's porch.

Have you ever considered
this fragile creature's stamina?
Who pauses only for seconds to alight on a flower.
Who in the Monarch species flutters from England to Mexico.

When this yellow green guest crosses my path,
I instinctively reflect on the following:
1.) E=MC2
2.) God is Wonderful
